Cromax Unveils High-Efficiency UV Primer-Surfacer for Quick Spot Repairs
We have recently launched the PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer, a new 1K primer-surfacer designed to improve bodyshop productivity, profitability, and sustainability, making it the ideal choice for spot repairs.
The PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer utilises next-generation 1K technology to offer refinishers an array of benefits across a wide range of applications. Not only does this UV primer-surfacer boast an incredibly fast drying and curing process without the need for baking, but it is also easy to use and offers optimised corrosion resistance.
It cures in just one minute, significantly reducing the time needed for repairs. The drying process is facilitated by most commercially available LED UV lamps, ensuring compatibility with existing equipment in bodyshops. Additionally, it features a semi-transparent grey colour ensuring easy application, making it easier to see where it has been applied and preventing heavy application areas. Another advantage is that it does not require an activator or thinner, simplifying the application process.
Jim Iliopoulos, Product and Technical Manager for Axalta ANZ, says, “This new product focuses squarely on highly productive repairs, making it the ideal choice for spot repairs. We’ve specifically developed it so that busy bodyshops can successfully and easily diversify into smaller cosmetic repairs. Minor repairs become more lucrative by increasing throughput and, because PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer does not need to be baked like other conventional systems, there are energy-saving benefits too.”
PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer is currently available in a 1-litre can.
